Customers who go online to conduct certain motor vehicle transactions will save nearly $360,000 in fees over the next year with a new state agreement recently announced by Motor Vehicle Commission Chairman and Chief Administrator Raymond P. Martinez and State Treasurer Andrew Sidamon Eristoff. Under the agreement, contracted vendor NICUSA Inc. will now process credit card payments for online transactions — such as vehicle registration renewals — for 25 percent less per transaction than the state’s previous vendor.
